Our president

Perry Luckett -- president of EWA

Our president is Dr. Perry Luckett—one of the top trainers in the country. He has taught powerful thinking, writing, reading, and revising techniques to more than 27,000 people in government and industry since 1979—with an average rating of 94 percent for enjoyment and productivity. He also has written or edited fourteen books and hundreds of pages of government regulations, manuals, guidance, impact statements, proposals, procedures, and other documents.

During 1993-95, as consultant to Vice President Gore’s National Performance Review, Dr. Luckett helped cut more than 25,000 pages of bulk from government policies, regulations, and instructions—saving a documented $11 million per year. During 1999-2000, he led a Fortune 100 company in streamlining and revising 2,800 pages of quality policies and instructions that guide the company’s quality-assurance program in 45 countries. For eight years, he has been the number-one-rated consultant at the Kenan-Flagler Business School’s Executive Development Institute—a renowned business-education program at the University of North Carolina.

Dr. Luckett has a Master's Degree in English from Florida State University and a Ph.D. in English and American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has taught writing and literature at Florida State University, the University of Colorado, and the United States Air Force Academy. His biography of James H. Kasler, the nation’s only winner of three Air Force Crosses for valor in combat—titled Tempered Steel—was published by Potomac Books, Inc. in March 2005.
